personal independents put together
this image was inspired by dv vinci's Vitruvian Man... the assignment was to take pictures and stick them together to make a bigger image.. so i thought why not capture something that is humanly impossible, but possible through different shots being shoved into one big one.
this image is representation how 99% of girls, myself included, consider many clothing items before actually finding the "perfect" outfit.
below are a few of the smaller images that were put together to make the two larger images.

she loves me

recently georgetown college put on a production of she loves me... and i took the pictures, painted the set, did the costumes... etc...

we had a photo call to get all these images... ideally we should have had a dress rehearsal and taken all the pictures then, so they wouldnt look so staged... but i think they turned out really well.

shaker village
In my opinion black and white photography is viewed as having a more serious subject matter, while color images can often be viewed as bright and playful... if intended. For my up coming black and white project i decided to photograph something having historical importance, or some importance of any sort. I choose to do this to give the images some weight, or history behind them, so it wouldn't just be a collection of odds and ends. As a result I made a trip to quant little Shaker Village of Pleasnt Hill.

nifty toy at wal-mart
I was at the local Wal-mart buying who knows what, and I stumbled across this lighting studio kit for only 50 dollars. It comes with a carrying case, two high output lights, two colored backgrounds, and a mini tripod. I couldn't not buy it, so I did, and i used it as soon as i got back home! For the picture below, I did not use the lights, but rather the afternoon sunlight that comes in my bedroom window. The box's sides softened the light and created a very soft look to the photo.

cold feet
While working on an assignment for my digital photography class, one of my roommates suggested "hey take a picture of shoes in a totally random place, like the freezer." At first I thought of how I could make this idea work. I decided to put the shoes in the refrigerator instead... the first several shots were the of the shoes only, but they were lacking in something, so I grabbed the egg carton and arranged the shoes and snapped a few, and came out with this.

pinhole danny
This photo was taken for photography 120 in the Spring of 2007 with a pinhole camera. The pinhole camera I made was approximately one inch in depth, this allowed the exposure time to be very quick and reduce the chance for image blurring. Beginning the photography class with the pinhole project allowed me to better understand the qualities and aspects of the photo sensitive materials, and camera controls.
